Structure

Almost all the structure has been planned and implemented. The main difference from the old site are:

• The data sets that can be be searched in detail are all grouped togehter
• Other sources such as documents are in a second group.
• The Support and HelpDesk are removed (we had an elaborate system that was rarely used.

There is a consistent two level structure to the pages based on the top menu and the sidebar menu under each main topic

Functions

The search functions for the data have been retained although with some minor changes to format. The Photo Gallery is entirely as previously. Some of the documents should be a little easier to access.

Format

The overall look and feel is similar .

Content

Everything should be here. Some content is being revised including:

• the list of parishes
• the progress on transcriptions

One major element has been removed ( and was already not working correctly on the old site): a general set of maps of the parishes. See other post
